The Old Vicarage
The Old Vicarage is in Stowe by Chartley. It's a big house on its own with gardens all around. The village is quiet.
It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms. Two of the bedrooms share a bathroom between them. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's done up well. The ground floor is wheelchair friendly. The entrance and the main living area are on one level.
There's a lot of space inside. Two separate living rooms, so if some want to watch telly and others want to read, it works. The kitchen is large and open plan with the dining area. There's a wood burner between the kitchen and one of the living rooms.
The garden has a lawn and a patio with seating. It looks out over fields.
There's a pub about 500 yards away. The nearest shop is a mile and a half, so you'd drive. Uttoxeter is close for bigger shops and has a racecourse. Stafford isn't far either.
For days out, you're well placed. Cannock Chase is right there for walking or cycling. The Peak District is about half an hour north. Alton Towers is also about half an hour away.
If you're interested in the local history, the Potteries and the Churnet Valley Railway are within easy reach.
Practical stuff: it's pet friendly, up to two dogs. There's parking on site. All bedding and towels are included. It has wifi, a TV, a washing machine, and a dishwasher.
