Barjols Cottage
Barjols Cottage is in Wiston. It’s a semi-detached place, one of a pair. It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom with a shower.
It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and well-kept. Everything you need is there. The wood burner works well, which is good because it can get cold here. The living room has a decent sized TV on the wall. The kitchen is fine, you can sit and have breakfast looking out at the back garden.
The garden is enclosed, so it's private. There's parking right outside.
It's in a small village. The nearest pub and shop are about six miles away in Biggar, so you'll want to bring supplies. The M74 is close, which makes getting around easy.
You're well placed for getting out. Biggar is a short drive north. South is the Scottish Borders, places like Melrose and Abbotsford House. Moffat is about half an hour south. Glasgow and Edinburgh are both under an hour's drive if you want a city day.
For walking, you're near the Clyde Valley and not far from the Southern Upland Way. If you like fishing, there's local river fishing. The cottage has bike storage if you bring cycles.
Practical stuff: Bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine and dishwasher. WiFi works. We allow up to two dogs.
