The Stables At Weedon Hill Farm

The Stables is down at our place at Weedon Hill Farm, on the edge of Weedon Bec. It's a detached conversion from our old farm buildings. You're literally looking at fields out of every window.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating, which honestly just means everything is new, clean, and works as it should. It's very comfortable.

You get the patio and garden area to yourselves. It's a proper suntrap in the afternoon. We've left a BBQ out there.

Inside, there's underfloor heating, but we also put in a wood burning stove because it's nice to have one. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are all included. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them.

The local shop and the pub are about half a mile's walk down into the village. The pub does food.

For getting out, you can walk straight from the door onto the footpaths. Towcester Racecourse and Silverstone are both about ten miles away if that's your thing.

There's a lot of history around here. Places like Sulgrave Manor, Canons Ashby, and Castle Ashby are all close. Althorp House is about a 20 minute drive. Bicester Village outlet shopping is about half an hour.

If you fancy a longer day out, you can get to Stratford-upon-Avon, Blenheim Palace, or the edge of the Cotswolds in roughly half an hour. Oxford is a bit further, maybe 45 minutes.

Useful links: National Trust Northamptonshire and English Heritage for planning visits to the historic houses.

No pets, I'm afraid. And there's parking right outside the cottage.
