Saint Martins House is just outside Tranent, in East Lothian. It's detached and sleeps twenty people. There are twelve bedrooms and seven bathrooms, which means most of the bedrooms have their own ensuite. It's a new build, so everything is in good order and the place feels quite spacious. It's got a 4 Star rating.
The living area is all one big space: kitchen, dining, and living room together. The kitchen has an American style fridge freezer, a range cooker, and a dishwasher. There's a second cooker in the utility room too, which is useful if you're catering for a lot of people.
You're right on the edge of Tranent. It's quiet at night, but you can walk into the town centre in five minutes for shops or a pub. There's on-site parking.
You're about a fifteen minute drive from the coast at places like Musselburgh or Prestonpans. Edinburgh is about a twenty-five minute drive, depending on traffic. The tram from the park and ride at Ingliston makes that easier.
East Lothian is known for its golf. The famous links courses like Muirfield, North Berwick, and Gullane are all within a twenty to thirty minute drive. There's local riding and fishing if that's your thing. For walking, you've got the coast or you can head inland to the Lammermuir Hills.
Facilities include a washing machine, a BBQ, and a patio garden. Bedding and towels are included. There's WiFi. Sorry, no pets allowed.
