Island Views is a small flat for two people on the west coast of Mull, near Ulva Ferry. We had it renovated a few years ago. The main thing is the view. There are big patio doors in the living area that look straight out over the water to the island of Ulva. It's a great spot for watching the weather change.
It's an open-plan space downstairs with the kitchen, dining, and living area all together. There's a wood burner, which is useful in the evenings. The bedroom is up a set of wooden stairs. They're a typical cottage staircase, so they're a bit steep and tight.
You have your own decking area outside the doors. Parking is right there. It's next to our house, but it's private.
The location is quite remote. The nearest shop and pub are about nine miles away in Salen. There's a good restaurant about four miles north. For a day out, you can walk to Ulva Ferry, just down the road, and get the small passenger boat over to the Isle of Ulva. There are tour boats from there too, going out to Staffa and the Treshnish Isles.
Tobermory is about a forty-minute drive north. Calgary Bay is about the same. The beach at Traigh na Cille is closer, maybe a fifteen-minute drive.
Facilities are what you'd expect: heating, hot water, Wi-Fi, a TV, a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. The shower is a walk-in type. The entrance is wheelchair accessible, but the internal stairs to the bedroom mean it's not suitable for full wheelchair use inside.
If you're planning your trip, these sites are useful: Isle of Mull and for the ferries, Caledonian MacBrayne.
