Maple Lodge

Maple Lodge is in Corsham. It's my place, it's in the garden so we're next door if you need anything, but it's completely separate and private.

It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's comfortable, clean and everything works.

The main room is all open plan, kitchen, living area and dining table. There are French doors that open onto a private, sunny patio. It gets the sun for most of the day.

You can walk into the town centre in a few minutes. There's a supermarket, a few pubs, some cafes and takeaways. The local sports centre is just across the road if you want to use the pool or gym.

Corsham itself is a nice old market town. You can walk around Corsham Court and its gardens. They have peacocks wandering about.

Bath is the main thing nearby. It's about nine miles away, or a 20 minute drive. You can also get a bus from just up the road if you don't want to take the car. The Roman Baths are the obvious visit. The National Trust has a few properties there too, like the Prior Park gardens.

Castle Combe is about six miles away. It's very pretty, like a film set, probably because it often is one. Lacock is also close, it's a National Trust village and another one they use for filming.

If you're happy to drive for half an hour or so, you can get to Stonehenge, Avebury, or Longleat Safari Park. Bradford-on-Avon is nice for a walk along the canal.

As for what's here: there's parking right outside the lodge. The garden is yours to use. It has a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and all the bedding and towels are included. A cot and highchair are here if you need them. No pets, sorry.
