Little Willows

Little Willows is a cottage at the end of our row, next to our house. It's brick and flint, which is common here. It sleeps two, in one bedroom upstairs.

The place is small but cleverly done. We got the idea from George Clarke's 'Amazing Spaces' programme. There's a larder unit downstairs that opens up to be the kitchenette. The stairs up to the bedroom are a bit steep and open, so you need to be careful.

The bedroom feels bigger than you'd think, with windows on two sides. The shower room has a low, sloping ceiling with Velux windows for light. It's all very modern inside, with underfloor heating, and it's got a 5 Star rating for quality.

You get a small garden area to yourselves, parking right there, and we've put in an electric car charger.

You're a few minutes' walk from the village shop. The local pub is about 500 yards away and does food. The Chiltern Hills are on the doorstep, literally. It's an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Ridgeway path is very close for walking.

Princes Risborough is the nearest town. You can get a train from High Wycombe to London Marylebone in under half an hour if you fancy a day out. Amersham tube station isn't far either.

There are plenty of big houses to visit nearby if that's your thing. Hughenden Manor is close. So are the Hellfire Caves. Bletchley Park is about a 30-minute drive.

The facilities are all there: WiFi, TV, towels and bedding included. No pets though.
