Sauchenshaw Cottage

Sauchenshaw Cottage is here in Netherley. It's a detached cottage, next to our own house but separate. You'll have the place to yourselves. The garden is big and there are trees all around.

It sleeps seven people. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean.

The kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine. There's a woodburning stove in the living room, which is good for cooler evenings. The WiFi works, but it's the countryside so it can be slow sometimes. All the bedding and towels are there for you. Parking for a couple of cars right outside.

Stonehaven is about three miles away. It's a proper seaside town with a harbour and places to eat. They have an open-air heated swimming pool that's open in the summer. The local golf course is just up the road.

Dunnottar Castle is famous and it's very close. It's worth a visit. You can find information on the Dunnottar Castle website.

Aberdeen city centre is a 20-minute drive for shops and things to do. If you like castles, Balmoral is about an hour west, up on Royal Deeside.

The coast here is great for walking. There are plenty of beaches nearby, like Catterline. For information on the local landscape, the Cairngorms National Park website covers a lot of this area, even though we're just outside it.

No pets, I'm afraid.
