There is plenty to see and do in the area: nearby Cruden Bay is home to a world class golf course which attracts many visitors through the year while to the north the brooding presence of Slains Castle, widely acknowledged to be the inspiration behind Bram Stoker’s Dracula is well worth a visit.
Nearby The Bullers of Buchan, an awesome natural phenomenon where the sea rushes into a vertical cavern, is an absolute must. For wildlife lovers, here you are based within Forvie Nature Reserve, with walks right from the doorstep where you can enjoy the stunning scenery of sand dunes and swirling waters. Visit Newburgh beach, home to the largest colony of seals in Scotland.
