Coach House

The Coach House is a converted barn on the edge of the Dorrington Hall estate. It’s detached, with its own garden. The main thing to know is that it’s spacious and well set up for a group. It sleeps eight.

There are four bedrooms and each one has its own bathroom, which is handy. Three of the bedrooms are on the ground floor, useful if anyone doesn’t fancy stairs.

The main living area is open plan. It’s a big room with a high, vaulted ceiling, oak beams, and French doors out to the patio. That’s where the hot tub is. It gets the sun most of the day. The patio has a barbecue.

The property has a five star rating. It’s well-equipped and new. You’ve got a dishwasher, washing machine, an electric vehicle charging point, and all the bedding and towels are included. We accept one well-behaved dog.

Location wise: there’s a pub about 250 yards down the lane. The nearest shop is about a mile and a half away in Caythorpe.

You’re about 15 minutes from Sleaford and about 20 minutes from Lincoln by car. Lincoln is well worth a day. The castle and cathedral are impressive, and Steep Hill has good independent shops and cafes. Belton House, which is National Trust, is also a 15 minute drive from here.

Within half an hour you can get to RAF Coningsby to see the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, or the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre. Grantham is about 25 minutes away. If you head further out, you can get to Stamford, Rutland Water, or the coast at Skegness in under an hour.
