Mountain View Llanthony

Mountain View is our shepherd's hut. It's on our smallholding near Llanthony. It's detached, so it's just you out there. It sleeps two, one bedroom and a bathroom with a shower. It has a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable but simple.

The hut looks out over the fields towards the mountain. There's a patio with a table and chairs. It's a good spot to sit. The point is the view and the quiet. There's a TV, but the signal isn't brilliant. You're really here to switch off.

You're right on the edge of the Black Mountains here. You can walk straight out onto the paths. The Skirrid and the Sugar Loaf are both close. For cycling, the famous Tumble climb is nearby. Abergavenny is about four and a half miles away. It's got all the shops you'll need, a market, and plenty of places to eat.

The Brecon Beacons National Park is on your doorstep. You can be in Crickhowell or Hay-on-Wye in under half an hour. Hereford is about forty minutes by car.

We include all bedding and towels. There's parking right by the hut. We allow up to two dogs. The track up to the hut is a farm track, so it's a bit bumpy, but most cars are fine.
