This is Mountain View. It's our shepherd's hut on the smallholding, up near Llanthony. It's detached, so it's just you out there.
It sleeps two in the one bedroom. There's one shower room. It has a 3 Star rating, which means it's clean and has what you need, but it's not a hotel. It's glamping really. You get proper bedding and towels though.
The whole point of it is the view and the quiet. You look out over the fields towards the mountain. There's no Wi-Fi. The TV is just for Freeview. It's for switching off.
You're right on the edge of the Brecon Beacons and the Black Mountains. The Skirrid and Sugar Loaf are right there for walking. The lane up to the house is part of that famous Tumble cycle climb, if that's your sort of thing. For a day out, Abergavenny is about five miles down the road. They've got all the shops and some good places to eat. The food festival is a big deal there.
You can bring two dogs. There's a bit of a patio garden area with a table. Parking is right next to the hut.
