The Stables At Wells-In-The-Field Farm

The Stables is on our farm in Freefolk. It's a converted stone barn, so it's detached and quite private. You look out over our fields.

It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. Both are doubles downstairs, and each has its own bathroom. One of the beds can be split into two singles if that's better for you. The living space is upstairs to get the views. Lots of skylights, so it's bright.

It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well-equipped, not palatial. Everything's on one level inside, but you do have to go up an external ramp to the front door. The track down to it is farm track, so it's a bit rough and bumpy.

You get the whole garden, it's enclosed. There's a patio, furniture, and a BBQ. We've got an Astroturf tennis court on the farm you can use, just let us know and we'll book you a slot.

The facilities are what you'd need: WiFi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine, all that. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. There's an outside tap for cleaning them off, and we can sometimes dog-sit if you need us to, just ask.

The local pub is about a five-minute walk away, across our field. The Bombay Sapphire gin distillery is even closer, just half a mile down the road. Whitchurch is a couple of miles for shops and things.

You're right on the edge of the Test Valley here. Footpaths start at the property. Good for walks, and of course the River Test for fishing is nearby.

For planning days out, the National Trust for Hampshire site is useful, and so is Visit Hampshire. Winchester, Stonehenge, and the New Forest are all within about half an hour's drive.
