Laurel Barn

Laurel Barn is in Tacolneston. It's an end-terrace barn conversion on a small, residential estate. It's quiet and looks out over fields.

The barn sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating. Everything is fairly new and well-maintained. It's open plan downstairs.

The garden is enclosed. There's a hot tub. Part of the garden is paved for sitting out.

Inside, they've kept some of the original beams and brickwork from the barn but it's all freshly decorated. It's a light space.

The front door and most rooms are all on one level. There’s a small step up into the kitchen area and two of the bedrooms have one step down into them. The shower room has a level-entry shower. If you need specific access details, just ask.

There's a decent pub about a mile away that serves food. The nearest shop is in Wymondham, about three miles.

Wymondham is a market town. It's got a supermarket, a few restaurants, and a leisure centre with a pool. The Abbey is worth a look.

Norwich is about 20 minutes by car. You've got the castle, the cathedral, the Lanes for shopping, and all the usual city things.

The Norfolk Broads are close. You can be at Wroxham in half an hour to hire a day boat.

The North Norfolk coast, like Holkham or Wells-next-the-Sea, is about 40 minutes' drive. The east coast is nearer. Winterton beach for seals is maybe 30 minutes.

Thetford Forest is good for walking and cycling. They have the Go Ape treetop course there too.

For planning days out, the main sites are useful: National Trust Norfolk, Visit East of England, and The Broads Authority.

Facilities: There's parking, WiFi, a washing machine, dishwasher, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. You can bring up to two dogs.
