River Test View
River Test View is in Wherwell. It's a little detached cottage right on the banks of the River Test. It's beside a bridleway, so you'll see the odd horse or walker go past. The view from the back is just fields and the river.
It sleeps two. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating, so it's very well finished inside, everything's new and it's spotless. It's comfortable.
The garden and deck are yours, private. The rest of the grounds you share with us, but we're not usually about. The Test Way walking path runs right alongside the property boundary. You can follow it into the village in five minutes, or walk for miles.
The village pub is The White Lion. It's good. Serves food. You can fish on this stretch of the Test, but you'd need to sort your own day ticket.
Andover is about ten minutes by car for big supermarkets. Stockbridge is fifteen minutes, Winchester is about half an hour. Salisbury is also within that.
For things to do, the National Trust has a few places nearby like Hinton Ampner. The Hampshire Museums site is useful if you fancy a day in Winchester or elsewhere.
Facilities: it's all there. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV, parking. Bedding and towels are included. One well behaved dog is welcome.
