The Lodge Haverhill

The Lodge is in Withersfield, just outside Haverhill. It's a detached bungalow in our garden, so it's all on one level. You get your own bit of garden with it. It sleeps two, one bedroom and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped.

It's detached and private. There's parking right outside. Inside, there's a washing machine and a dishwasher. Towels and bedding are included. There's WiFi and a TV.

The village pub is about a mile away. It does food. The nearest shop is half a mile. Haverhill has all the main shops and supermarkets you'd need, about three miles away.

You're right on the border of Suffolk, Cambridge, and Essex here. Cambridge is about a 30 minute drive. You can see the colleges, go to the museums, or go punting on the river. Newmarket, for the horse racing, is about 20 minutes away. Bury St Edmunds is nice for a day out, with the abbey gardens. That's about 25 minutes.

If you're interested in history, the Imperial War Museum at Duxford is excellent for planes. Audley End House is an English Heritage site, and Ickworth House is National Trust. Both are within about a 40 minute drive.
