St Enodoc is in Ullapool, looking out over Loch Broom. It's a traditional cottage, so the walls are thick and the rooms are cosy. You get a good view of the water and the mountains from the front.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. The rating is 4 Star, which is accurate. It's got everything you'd need and it's well looked after, but it's a cottage, not a hotel.
You're right in the town, so shops and pubs are a few minutes' walk. They're all good. There's a shingle beach a short walk away too. The place is handy for everything.
For getting out on the water, boat trips to the Summer Isles leave from the harbour. The scenery out there is something else. Inland, the Inverpolly nature reserve is about a half hour's drive. It's wild land, with proper hills and lochs.
Facilities: it's got a woodburning stove for the evenings, a washing machine, dishwasher, and wifi. Bedding and towels are included. Sorry, no pets.
If you're planning trips, these sites are useful: Walkhighlands for routes and NatureScot for the reserves.
