Strathcashel Cottage
Strathcashel Cottage is in Luss, right on Loch Lomond. It's a detached cottage on its own, not overlooked by anyone. You've got about three acres of grounds that go right down to your own little pebble beach. It's about a five minute walk from the house to the water's edge.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It has a 4 Star rating. The heating is an air source heat pump, so it's very efficient and keeps the place warm. There's a wood burner in the living room for the look of it more than anything.
The views of the loch are good from the sun room, the living room, and two of the bedrooms. Ben Lomond is straight ahead.
The West Highland Way path runs nearby if you're into walking. Balmaha is two miles away. It's got a pub, a small shop, and you can get the water bus from there over to Inchcailloch Island. You can also start the climb up Conic Hill from there.
If you want to go out on the loch itself, there are places nearby for boat hire, or you can fish. Loch Lomond Shores at Balloch is about 16 miles away. That's where you'll find the bigger shops, the sea life centre, and the like. Glasgow and Stirling are both about a 45 minute drive if you fancy a day out in the city.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, bedding and towels are included. Parking for three cars. There's an electric vehicle charger. The garden is fully enclosed. We accept up to two dogs.
