Feaugh Cottage is our place in Lochgoilhead. It's a detached bungalow, so it's all on one level inside. That's quite handy.
It sleeps six in four bedrooms, with two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. The garden is large and fully enclosed, which is good if you're bringing dogs or if kids are running about. It looks out over the loch and the mountains. You get that view from the living room.
There's a shop and a bar a mile down the road in the village. For a swim or a coffee, the leisure place at Drimsynie Estate is also about a mile away. They have an indoor pool and a 9-hole golf course.
You can walk straight from the door. There are marked paths along the lochside and through the forest. The property is right on the edge of the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. If you drive about 14 miles, you can get to the west side of Loch Lomond itself, near Luss.
Inveraray is a nice drive. It's got the castle and you can see the medieval jail. Dunoon is the main town for this part of Argyll. For a longer day out, Glasgow is just over an hour's drive.
Inside, it's got a woodburning stove for colder days. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine. We leave some basics like tea, coffee, and washing up liquid. You can get supermarket deliveries if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. We allow up to two dogs.
