Turin Nurin Cottage is near Tomatin, about fifteen miles south of Inverness. You get to it down a forest track, so you're away from any traffic. It's just you and the woods.
It's a detached, single-storey place we built in 2015. Sleeps four in two bedrooms, and both have their own ensuite bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and new, not old-fashioned.
The cottage sits right by a stream. There's a patio out front, fully fenced. You'll see deer, red squirrels, and lots of birds. The land around it is about 200 acres of woodland with signposted walks. It's very quiet.
You're about six miles from the nearest pub or restaurant. The village shop is half a mile away. The Tomatin Distillery is there if you want a tour.
Inverness is half an hour north. From there, you're well placed for Loch Ness, Culloden, and the coast. The Cairngorms National Park is about the same drive south, near Aviemore. That's where you go for walking, cycling, or skiing in winter.
The Moray coast is under an hour's drive east. Good for dolphin spotting and fishing villages.
For facilities: it's all on one level, there's parking, WiFi, a washing machine, and a BBQ. We include bedding and towels. One well-behaved dog is welcome. We can provide a cot and highchair.
