It's Dark Sky Lodge. It's a log cabin on our land up near Crai. You've got your own bit of garden and a driveway. It looks out over the woods. It’s detached, so no one next door.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. The rating is 4 Star. It's clean and comfortable. It’s all on one level so the entrance is step-free, but it’s worth noting the inside doors are standard width.
The main thing about it is the location. We’re right in the Brecon Beacons International Dark Sky Reserve. On a clear night, you just go outside and look up. It’s that simple. Cray Reservoir is close by and it’s a known spot for it. There’s a wood burner in the living room for the evenings.
For walking, you’ve got Llyn y Fan Fach glacier lake up the road, which is a proper walk. The reservoir has good paths too, and you often see red kites. The towns are a drive. Sennybridge is about seven miles for a pub. Brecon is about sixteen miles if you need more shops or a museum.
We leave you some basic things to start with, like milk, and some homemade jam from the garden. The garden here is quite big and we open it once a year for a charity day in July. If you’re staying then, you’re welcome to that.
You’ve got a washing machine, TV, WiFi, and parking. There’s a BBQ. Sorry, no pets. The nearest shop is about seven miles, so you’ll want to bring your food with you.
