Dark Sky Lodge is near Crai in the Brecon Beacons. It's a detached log cabin in our garden, with its own driveway. The garden is enclosed and looks out over some woods.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well-equipped. There are no steps at the front, so it's accessible for wheelchairs to get in.
The main thing here is the dark skies. We're in the Brecon Beacons International Dark Sky Reserve. On a clear night, you can see a lot. Cray Reservoir, about a ten minute drive away, is a good spot to go and look.
For walking, Llyn y Fan Fach lake is a classic. It's a proper mountain road to get to it, but worth it. Sennybridge is about seven miles away for a pub or shop. Brecon is sixteen miles. It has a regimental museum and the canal.
Inside, there's a wood burner. It heats the place well. There's a washing machine, Wi-Fi, and a barbecue outside. Bedding and towels are included. We leave a welcome pack with some homemade things. There's parking right there.
We open our garden for a charity day in July. If you're staying then, you're welcome to have a look round.
