Staffin is a terraced house, end of the row, in Newcastleton. It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms, which is handy.
The place is comfortable and roomy. There's a garden and off-street parking. You've got a washing machine, a dishwasher, Wi-Fi. We include the bedding. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.
It's in the middle of the village. There are shops about a three-minute walk away, same for the pubs. They serve food.
The area is peaceful now, but it was the border country for a long time. Good history around. The Liddle Valley is nice for a gentle walk. If you're serious about walking or mountain biking, it's all here. You're right on the edge of the Seven Stanes routes.
The village has a Traditional Music Festival in early summer. It gets busy then, lots of ceilidhs and music in the pubs.
For a day out, Kielder Water is about half an hour's drive. You can walk, cycle, or go on the boat. The Kinnaird Estate is similar distance, good for walking. Hadrian's Wall is under an hour away, so is the coast north of Berwick.
It's a 3 Star place. It's clean, it works, it's got space. It's not fancy, but it does the job.
