Horsemill

This is Horsemill, in Kelty, Fife. It's part of a converted old horse mill on a working sheep and cattle farm. So it's rural. You'll see fields and livestock.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One bathroom is a ground floor wet room, which is handy. It's a three star rating, so it's comfortable and clean, not luxury.

The main thing is the big circular living room. It's got floor to ceiling windows, so it's very bright. Good space for everyone to sit together.

You're right next to Lochore Meadows Country Park. You can walk straight into it. There's sailing, fishing, that sort of thing. Lochore Meadows Country Park has the details.

Loch Leven is about a 15 minute drive. You can get a boat out to the castle island in summer. The RSPB Vane Farm nature reserve is there too, if you like birdwatching.

The nearest proper shop is a mile away in Kelty. For a bigger supermarket or a choice of places to eat, you'd go to Kinross. That's about ten minutes by car. The east coast beaches, like those in the East Neuk, are roughly half an hour's drive.

You're about 40 minutes from Edinburgh and Perth, and maybe an hour from Glasgow, if you fancied a city day.

Facilities: there's parking, WiFi, a washing machine, a dishwasher. A cot and highchair are there if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. The garden is yours. It's wheelchair accessible on the ground floor, including the wet room shower.

You can bring two dogs.
