This lovely semi-detached, single-storey cottage is based in the busy village of Drumnadrochit, making it an ideal base for those wishing to explore the Highlands. A short walk from the village will take you to the shores of Loch Ness and the stunning ruins of Urqhuart Castle. Slightly further afield, Glen Affric, Glen Urqhuart and The Great Glen Way offer superb walking and cycling, whilst the Moray Coastline is dotted with unspoilt sandy beaches, abundant wildlife and boat trips to spot dolphins. Follow the Strathspey whisky trail to sample a wee dram, or head south to Fort Augustus where Loch Ness joins the Caledonian Canal. For the outdoor enthusiasts, mountain biking, hill walking, horse riding, golf and a variety of water sports are available nearby. Drive the popular North Coast 500 which boasts magnificent scenery, explore the Cairngorms National Park, visit the magical Isle of Skye, or from Fort William you can head up the mountain in a gondola. Within the village there are several places to eat, drink and shop. Inverness, the Highland capital, is only 15 miles away and can be reached by bus or car.
