Shore Cottage is over near Tarbert. It’s a bungalow, so all on one level, which is handy. It's detached, and the garden goes down to the shore. You get a proper view of Loch Tarbert from the front.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, each with their own bathroom. It’s got a 4 Star rating, so it’s well looked after. You can bring two dogs. There’s parking right there.
The place is over a hundred years old, it was built for a quarryman. We’ve renovated it, but left the bits that give it character. It’s quiet. You’ll see deer and seals from the windows sometimes.
You can fish off the shore right outside. There’s a washing machine, a dishwasher, and WiFi. There’s a woodburning stove for the colder nights.
Tarbert village is about two miles away. There’s a Co-op, a couple of pubs that do food, and some places to eat. For a bigger beach, you’d drive to Carradale, which is about half an hour.
You can go for good walks straight from the door. There’s a golf course nearby. If you want a day trip, you can get the ferry from Tarbert over to the Isle of Gigha for the gardens, or drive down the Kintyre peninsula. Arran is accessible from the mainland ferry ports too.
