Ewes Schoolhouse Ewes

Ewes Schoolhouse is five miles outside Langholm. It's a detached Victorian place, built as a school. You're surrounded by hills here. It's quiet.

It sleeps seven in three bedrooms. There are three bathrooms too, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and has kept a lot of the old school features, like the big windows. It's warm and works all year.

The garden is enclosed, good if you've got kids or a dog. There's parking right there. Inside, there's a woodburning stove, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair if you need them.

You can walk straight from the door into the hills. The Langholm Walks are nearby. There's local fishing and horse riding. There's a golf course not far away. Langholm has shops and pubs, about a five minute drive.

If you want to go further, you're right on the old Borders route to Edinburgh. It's a scenic drive. The Historic Environment Scotland site is good for finding castles and historic spots. For wider parks and walks, NatureScot has the information.
