Cowshot Barn is a one-bedroom barn conversion in the grounds of the main house here at Sheet's Heath. It sleeps two. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-finished.
The space is open plan downstairs, with the kitchen, dining and sitting area. There's a big window looking out over the grounds, which are about four and a half acres. You're welcome to walk around them. There's a small stream along one edge. Upstairs is the bedroom on a mezzanine floor. The stairs are oak and quite open-tread, so you need to be steady on your feet. The bed is a large super king.
The barn was rebuilt a few years ago. Some of the oak beams were repaired by the same company that worked on the Globe Theatre. It's a solid, quiet place.
Location wise, it's rural but not isolated. Woking town centre and the mainline station are about a ten minute drive. Trains to London Waterloo take around 35 minutes. Heathrow Airport is about 45 minutes by car, depending on traffic.
For walks, the Surrey Hills are close. The Devil's Punch Bowl at Hindhead is about a 20 minute drive. Wisley Gardens (RHS) is about 25 minutes away. If you drive for half an hour you can get to places like Polesden Lacey or go walking on Box Hill.
Facilities included are Wi-Fi, a smart TV, a washing machine, dishwasher, and bedding and towels. There's parking right outside. There's also a cot available if needed, though the space is really set up for two adults. No pets, sorry.
