Crown Cottage
Crown Cottage is in Hartest on the village green. It's detached and modern, architect designed. Scandinavian style, lots of wood and double glazing. You can see the pub from the front door.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. One bathroom. It's a 3 Star place, so clean and comfortable but not luxury. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you're bringing a dog.
The pub next door is from the 1500s. They do food and have ales from a local brewery. There's a butcher on the green as well. The shop is in Glemsford, about five miles away.
You can walk straight out from the cottage. For a proper day out, Bury St Edmunds and Sudbury are about the same distance away, twenty minutes or so. Lavenham and Long Melford are very close. Ickworth is a short drive.
The Suffolk coast is about forty minutes by car. There are a couple of vineyards nearby if that's your thing. Fishing lakes are within five miles.
What's here: woodburning stove, dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking. One well-behaved dog is welcome. We have a cot if you need it.
